Building a Law School Operating System, Not Just a Website
Jan 02, 2026
Most websites are brochures.
Nice to look at. Easy to ignore.
This one had a job to do.
When I started working with Lisa Blasser, the goal was not to “launch a site.” It was to build the home for The Law School Operating System™, a recorded course designed to help law students work with more structure and less stress.
Start with the system, not the site
We did not begin with colours, layouts, or templates.
We began with the system.
The website was built from scratch on Kajabi, starting with a blank canvas. Pages were shaped around how students actually move through a recorded course, not how platforms suggest they should.
Each page answers one question.
Then it steps aside.
Why Kajabi works
Kajabi is a solid platform if you are a course creator, educator, or podcaster who wants everything in one place.
It handles hosting, payments, email, automations, and content delivery without needing half a dozen tools stitched together. That matters when you want to spend your time creating, not maintaining systems.
Used properly, it stays out of the way and lets the product do the talking.
Product first, always
The course structure came before the design.
Modules, access, pacing, and progression were mapped clearly so students always knew where they were and what mattered next. The site exists to support the course, not to distract from it.
Forms, automations, and backend systems were added only where they removed friction. Nothing more.
Strategy that scales quietly
Once the site was built and the overall strategy was in place, the course began to scale cleanly.
Without noise.
Without complexity.
Without constant manual work.
After this foundation was in place, The Law School Operating System™ grew to well over 1,000 students.
Not because of clever tactics.
Because the system worked.
Less noise, better results
At that scale, restraint matters.
No bloated funnels.
No unnecessary emails.
No features added just because they were available.
The result is not just a website.
It is an operating system for a recorded course that supports serious learning and holds up as it grows.
Quietly.
Reliably.
